Housing Supports
Rent Supplement Program | The City of Ottawa has a Rent Supplement Program, that helps low-moderate households with housing costs. Once enrolled, households are able to pay no more than 30% of their income towards rent. |
Canada-Ontario Housing Benefit | The Canada-Ontario Housing Benefit helps low-income folks pay for their living expenses. |
The Essential Health and Social Supports Program helps Ottawa residents who cannot afford to pay for items or services needed to maintain their housing (ex. urgent dental care, rent arrears and deposits, assistive devices). Since you receive ODSP, your ODSP case worker will first have to approve your application. | |
Below Market Rent program | The Below Market Rent program helps low-moderate income households with housing costs. |
