While COVID-19 cases continue to spread across the province, we know long-term care homes, residents and workers are facing the crisis head on. Lack of support, staffing and funding are putting LTC homes in a desperate crisis and we need this government to act.
Join MPP Joel Harden on Monday, January 25th at 7 PM for a discussion with provincial and local experts on what the crisis facing long-term care means for Ottawa and Ontario, what this government needs to do to address it and how the next few months will play out without the urgent, immediate support.
We will be joined by Dr. Vivian Stamatopoulos, a professor at Ontario Tech University and a LTC advocate, Georgette Morris, a LTC researcher and coordinator with Jaku Konbit Ottawa, Lynne Steele, founder of the Canadian PSW Network to discuss the state of our long-term care homes in Ontario.
Participants can watch the townhall live on our Facebook page here or on YouTube here. Both options will allow for a chat function where you can ask questions to the participants and chat with other viewers.
Please RSVP below so we know you're interested, and we will email you a link to watch on our Facebook or YouTube once we have begun.
